How much does Yak cost?

Yak is priced on a per-engagement basis at $500 per engagement, per year. This means you only pay for the engagements you manage, not for individual users.

Does Yak charge per user?

No, Yak offers unlimited users at no additional cost. You only pay based on engagements, making it easy to collaborate without worrying about user limits.

Are there any additional fees beyond the engagement cost?

No, the $500 per engagement covers all core features, including collaboration, document management, and reporting. Integrations and future premium features may have separate pricing.

What happens if my engagement lasts longer than a year?

If your engagement remains open after 365 days, it automatically renews for another year at $500. You can avoid renewal charges by archiving the engagement before the renewal date.

Is there a discount for multi-year commitments or bulk engagements?

We’re happy to discuss pricing for firms managing a high volume of engagements. Contact us for custom pricing options.

Do you offer a free trial or pilot program?

Yes! Your first engagement is free for all customers. We also offer a pilot program. Reach out to discuss eligibility and how Yak can fit your workflow.

What payment methods do you accept?

Yak is priced on a per-engagement basis at $500 per engagement, per year. This means At this time, we only accept invoicing. Support for credit cards and ACH payments is planned for the future.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?

Yak’s pricing is simple. Since it’s per engagement, you don’t need to upgrade or downgrade plans. Just start new engagements as needed.

Do you offer refunds if we decide not to continue using Yak?

We don’t offer refunds, but you can archive engagements before they renew to avoid additional charges.

What audit frameworks does Yak support?

Yak currently supports SOC 1, SOC 2, and HIPAA, with plans to expand to SOC 3, ISO 27001, and other frameworks in the future.

Can I use Yak for multiple engagements at the same time?

Yes! You can manage multiple engagements simultaneously, with separate workspaces for each.

Does Yak support real-time collaboration between auditors and clients?

Absolutely! Auditors and clients can collaborate seamlessly, track progress, and respond to document requests in real time.

How does Yak help streamline document requests?

Yak centralizes all document requests, tracks responses, and automates follow-ups, reducing back-and-forth emails.

Can I customize my control lists and mappings?

Can I upload budgets, planning memos, and checklists into Yak?

Yes! Yak allows you to upload and organize all critical documents — including budgets, planning memos, and checklists — alongside your testing documentation. Everything stays centralized and accessible for your team and clients.

What does Yak’s one-click report generator produce?

Yak automates Section 4 report generation, matching your firm’s existing formatting perfectly. We’re continuously expanding automation to support additional sections and reporting needs.

Can I archive engagements for peer review?

Yes. Yak lets you easily archive completed engagements. Archived engagements become read-only, ensuring your work remains secure and unchanged for peer review, quality control, or internal reviews.

Security & Compliance

How does Yak ensure data security?

Yak follows industry best practices, including encryption, least privileged access, and strong authentication measures.

Does Yak store sensitive client data, and how is it protected?

Yak stores engagement-related data securely using encrypted storage and access controls. Users manage and control their own data retention.

Do you offer role-based access controls (RBAC)?

Not yet. Currently, all auditors have the same access level, and all clients have the same access level. However, role-based access controls (RBAC) are on our roadmap and will be introduced in a future update.

Does Yak support two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Yes, Yak supports 2FA for added security.

Is Yak SOC 2 complaint?

Yak is currently undergoing its SOC 2 Type II audit. The platform is built with SOC 2 principles in mind, and achieving full compliance is a top priority as we scale.

Can I export my data from Yak if I need to?

Yes, you can export engagement data, reports, and supporting documents anytime.
